Product information

EUROstor's storage clusters with ZFS file system offer a particularly high level of data security. The file system contains checksums of all data and addresses the hard disks directly, which enables immediate detection and correction of defects. A virtually unlimited number of snapshots can be created without affecting performance. With the cost-effective Open-E JovianDSS software, active/active clusters can also be set up to increase performance through load balancing. The clusters support various connections such as iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS and SMB (CIFS). JBODs can be mirrored with each other for maximum reliability, even across different fire protection zones. We also offer these storage clusters in combination with virtualization clusters

In addition, data can be replicated asynchronously to other fire protection zones or data center servers via On- & Off-site Data Protection. This only requires another EUROstor ES-8700 Open-E JovianDSS system, as this system only receives snapshots from the source, but is not accessible from outside except in an emergency, it also protects against ransomware attacks. In an emergency, a snapshot is activated before the attack, the original source system can be completely deleted and the data restored. The data from the OODP server is also available during this time. Alternatively, a cluster can of course also be used here. In an emergency, this system can then be activated and the individual volumes are immediately accessible again via the network.

The ES-8700 series from EUROstor is certified by Open-E as a complete solution that ensures particularly good performance and stability, as all components are coordinated with each other. Open-E JovianDSS enables users to build their storage environment flexibly and according to individual business requirements. Whether a system is to be based on two nodes, each with its own hard disks connected directly to the node, or with a connection via several JBODs via SAS or FC, or even with two servers and a shared set of directly connected hard disks within a server enclosure - Open-E JovianDSS offers unlimited possibilities for designing storage environments.

Alternatively, it is also possible to connect two Open-E JovianDSS systems via Ethernet as a metro cluster. The disks on the other side are then visible to the other side via iSCSI like local disks and can be mirrored in pairs.
