With EonStor DS series Infortrend offers a complete series of RAID systems with modular host interfaces. These can easily be exchanged in an existing system to e.g. convert an iSCSI RAID into a 32 Gbit FC system. This guarantees a high level of investment protection.
EonStor DS systems are designed as front loader RAIDs with up to 24 3.5" or 2.5" disks. All EonStor DS systems offer virtualization features like snapshots, volume copy and thin provisioning, optionally also auto-tiering (automatic storage of data on faster and slower media according to frequency of access) and synchronous or asynchronous replication to a second system.
In addition to JBODs for RAID expansion, Infortrend also offers JBODs for direct connection to the host adapter - also as 60-slot toploaders (see JBOD expansion datasheet).
To further enahnce performance Infortrend additionally offers systems with NVMe instead of SAS and SATA drives. These systems achieve up to 20 GB/s data throughput. Infortrends new RAID 5F Level writes SSDs differently to avoid the simultaneous failure when the TBW is exceeded.
