Mit den EonStor DS Serien bietet Infortrend eine komplette Baureihe von RAID Systemen an, deren Hostinterfaces modular sind. Sie lassen sich im bestehenden System problemlos nachträglich austauschen, um so beispielsweise ein iSCSI RAID System in ein 32 Gbit FC System umzuwandeln. Das bietet maximale Investitionssicherheit.
EonStor DS RAID Systeme gibt es als klassische Frontloader Systeme bis zu 24 3.5" oder 2.5" Datenträgern. Alle EonStor DS Systeme bieten Virtualisierungsfeatures wie Snapshots, Volume Copy und Thin Provisioning an, optional auch Auto-Tiering (automatische Verteilung der Daten auf schnellere und langsamere Volumes nach Häufigkeit des Zugriffs) sowie synchrone oder asynchrone Replikation auf ein zweites System.
Infortrend bietet außer JBODs für die Erweiterung der RAIDs auch solche an für den direkten Anschluss an den Hostadapter - auch als 60-Slot Toploader (s. Datenblatt JBOD Expansion).
Um die Performance weiter zu erhöhen bietet Infortrend Systeme auch mit NVMe statt SAS und SATA Datenträgern an. Mit diesen Systemen lassen sich bis zu 20 GB/s Datendurchsatz erreichen. Infortrends neuer RAID 5F Level beschreibt die SSDs unterschiedlich, um den gleichzeitigen Ausfall bei Überschreitung der TBW zu vermeiden.
