The ARC-8042-12 SAS to SAS desktop RAID subsystem boasts unmatched performance and data availability with a 1.2GHz dual-core ROC processor, DDR3-1866 memory, and 12Gb/s SAS technology. It supports backward compatibility with 6Gb/s and 3Gb/s SAS and SATA hard drives. The 12Gb/s SAS RAID controllers ensure maximum read/write performance improvements for various applications, including NAS, supercomputing, backup, security systems, streaming, and cloud computing. Leveraging Areca's high-performance RAID solution, the ARC-8042-12 provides superior performance and enterprise-level data protection. It supports hardware RAID 6 for dual HDD failure without impacting data and performance, allowing hot swapping with zero downtime. The subsystem supports traditional Li-ion battery backup and offers easy RAID management through LCD control panel, RS232 port, or LAN port, with firmware-embedded RAID managers such as internet browser, CLI, Telnet, API, SMTP, and SNMP for effective configuration and monitoring. ArcSAP Quick Manager facilitates scanning and management of multiple RAID units locally and remotely.
