Infortrend EonStor GS Scale-Out unified storage systems with cloud connection

EonStor GS is available in three product types based on the supported drives - U.2 NVMe SSD (up to 48 slots), 3.5" SAS HDD and 2.5" SAS SSD. Whether you need an ultra-high performance solution or one that meets demanding capacity requirements, EonStor GS has it covered.

EonStor GS RAID systems can be used particularly well for various backup concepts in addition to many other application areas. In addition to the option of using these systems as the target of backup software, Infortrend now also offers its own free backup function as part of the EonView GUI. It can be used to back up data from PCs, file servers and also from the cloud locally on the RAID system, including scheduling and defined retention time.

Furthermore, especially customers using Veeam backup software have the option of creating WORM volumes on the GS systems as S3-compatible storage and then using them from Veeam as an immutable repository. The data is then locked for access and cannot be changed, encrypted or deleted by ransomware. The retention period can also be defined here to meet the legal retention requirements for documents. Last but not least, Infortrend GS RAIDs also offer the option of backing up data locally via snapshots or volume copy, or remotely via asynchronous replication to another GS RAID system at a backup location.

EonStor GS are not just backup systems! The GS series includes a variety of models for different application scenarios. They differ in controller performance (GS 1000 to GS 5000) depending on the performance requirements. They are available with spinning disks and SSDs, and from GS 3000 also as high-performance NVMe systems with U.2 slots.

And when it comes to high capacity in a small space: toploaders are also available for up to 90 3.5" disks and four NVMe cache SSDs.
