Product information

Attacks by ransomware can completely paralyze companies. And without a secure backup, ruinous costs are incurred. It is therefore crucial that the backup itself is not affected by the attack.
One way to prevent this is offered by Veeam since version 11 with its Hardened Linux Backup Repository. For this purpose, a dedicated Ubuntu Linux server is used for the backup, which can only be accessed from Veeam and whose data is protected against modification and deletion in an XFS file system for a specified time.
In the event of a ransomware attack, backups are scanned for malware before being restored by Veeam DataLabs™ Secure Restore. Only then is the data restored to the completely deleted computers.
Existing Veeam installations can easily be extended by a Hardened Linux Backup Repository. EUROstor offers optimized bundle for this purpose.
