    ES-8700JCL Storage Cluster with ZFS file system is now also available with 32 Gbit Fibre Channel to the hosts. Thus for virtualization environments like VMware an excellent performance with extremely low latencies can be achieved, especially as a FullFlash solution with SSDs as shared storage devices. Since both cluster heads access the JBOD with 4 x 12 Gbit SAS, the bandwidth to the SSDs is also not a bottleneck.

    The combination of virtualization and storage cluster allows a very high availability. Optionally, the SSDs can also be mirrored over two or more JBODs to achieve additional redundancy.
