Backup to disk and LTO-9 tape in one compact system
EUROstor ES-2500LTO9 servers and towers are optimal file and backup servers with local tape backup for SMBs

With the ES-2500LTO series, EUROstor offers a compact backup solution that combines disk and tape backup in a single system. This makes these servers especially interesting for SME customers or for departments with their own storage infrastructure, which can realize a backup concept this way.
On the one hand, these systems can be used as file servers with built-in tape backup. They use the high performance of the LTO-9 drive connected via 12 Gbit SAS without the latency and limited bandwidth of a network connection.
On the other hand, these systems can also be used for a backup to disk to tape (B2D2T) solution, where data from client computers is first backed up to disk and then further offloaded to tape. This solution allows for a particularly fast restore when, in the event of a client failure or accidentally deleted data, only data from the last backup needs to be restored.
By using eight hard disks of up to 20 TB, a gross capacity of 160 TB, or 120 TB in RAID 6, can be achieved in these systems. A built-in Areca RAID controller ensures data security and high performance.
Any common backup software can be installed on the pre-installed Windows Server IoT for Storage, such as Veeam, Veritas, BackupExec, Acronis, ArchiWare, NovaStor, SEP and ARCserve). Management is done via a remote desktop connection, alternatively it can be accessed directly via a console.
ES-2500LTO9 servers are available as standalone tower, optimal for backup outsourcing, as well as rackmount version for a server rack. Both versions are equipped with redundant power supplies.

The systems are offered with a 3-year warranty, optionally up to 5 years, and advance replacement or even on-site service if desired.
Equipped with 8 x 10 TB, built-in Areca RAID controller and one LTO-9 drive, the system, whether tower or 3 U rackmount version, costs € 9,990 (with VAT € 11888.10).
