Produktinformation

Ceph gehört zu den Software Defined Storage Lösungen. Es ist ein verteiltes objektbasiertes Storage Filesystem auf Basis von handelsüblichen x86 Serversysteme, die wir mit AMD EPYC oder Intel Xeon Prozessoren ausstatten. Mit unterschiedlicher Anzahl an Festplattenslots und Festplattengrößen lassen sich so unterschiedlich größe Kapazitäten verwirklichen. Da Ceph ein skalierbares System ist, lässt sich die Kapazität durch das Hinzufügen von weiteren Storage Knoten vergrößern. Ein Ceph Cluster wird so designed das kein Single Point of Failure vorhanden ist. Der Zugriff auf die Daten von den Hosts erfolgt über integrierte Ceph Gateways. Diese gibt es für Objekt- (RADOSGW), für Block- (RDB) und für File-Zugriffe (CEPH FS).
