Open-E JovianDSS – All-in-One Software-defined Storage for Demanding IT Environments
With Open-E JovianDSS, you get a unified storage platform that supports both NAS (file storage) and SAN (block storage). Based on ZFS and Linux, JovianDSS combines flexibility, data integrity, and scalability. It is ideal for virtual environments, enterprise storage, and high-availability clusters – all in one solution.
JovianDSS is installed on certified EUROstor ES-8700 servers, forming a fully tested and fine-tuned platform for professional storage operation. This combination provides users with maximum stability, performance, and seamless integration into existing IT infrastructures.
NAS & SAN in One System – Maximum Flexibility
JovianDSS allows simultaneous operation of iSCSI, NFS, and SMB (CIFS) as well as Fibre Channel (FC). The system can be deployed flexibly on certified EUROstor ES-8700 hardware or as a virtual appliance and integrates seamlessly into existing infrastructures.
High Availability & Clustering
Thanks to its integrated high-availability cluster functionality, JovianDSS provides reliable protection against system failures. With the HA Cluster Feature Pack, active/active or active/passive cluster setups can be implemented – even across larger distances (metro cluster over Ethernet).
