Product information

Open-E DSS for many years stands for a performant and reliable storage software for unified storage applications. On this basis EUROstor builds her ES-8700 systems.
With JovianDSS, a solution based on the ZFS file system has been released. The main advantages of this file system: it is self healing, thus avoiding inconsistencies and corrupt files, and it offers the possibility to create space-saving and practically unlimited snapshots, without loss of performance. This is possible because file system links to old data are being kept as long as snapshots are active.
JovianDSS offers client connection with iSCSI and Fibre Channel as well as NFS and CIFS.
The use of JovianDSS is therefore recommended in all cases where high data security matters and also high capacity with deduplication, Thin Provisioning and similar features of capacity management are required.
Systmens with JoivanDSS can also be configured as shared storage cluster and metro cluster.
Some models have been certified as a complete system by Open-E. The other models of the series only differ in the configuration.
