EUROstor with Nexenta and HGST at the CeBIT fair

Unified Storage Servers based upon NexentaStor software live at the fair in Hannover.

Filderstadt, 5 March 2014

Only the perfect interaction of hardware and software turns a storage system into a high-performance and reliable storage solution which meets today’s requirements of high-capacity servers and virtualization systems.

At this year’s CeBIT, among other products, EUROstor will present its ES-2800 Unified Storage Servers with NexentaStor software for storage virtualization as well as HGST hard disks.

HGST also supplies the RAM disks which are used as SLOG (ZIL cache) for the ZFS file system as well as the SSDs for the L2ARC cache.

ES-2800 storage servers with NexentaStor software are offered with NAS, iSCSI and optionally with Fibre Channel interface. They are based upon the ZFS file system, thus providing especially high data security. Even in the RAID sets, from the mirror to the three- fold parity, each disk remains individually accessible and is permanently checked for data consistency.

Thus, even the so-called “stealth errors“ – the distortion of data by a disk, without this being immediately noticed as in the case of reading errors – can be identified and corrected without any difficulty.

In addition to the EUROstor storage experts Nexenta staff will be present as exhibition partners at the EUROstor stand and will be happy to be at your disposal for any further and more detailed queries you may have concerning these products and their possibilities of configuration.

“Nexenta has been our reliable software partner for several years and together we are able to implement challenging projects as an excellent team“, says Franz Bochtler, general manager of EUROstor GmbH. “No matter whether individual storage systems or cluster solutions are concerned – together with the Nexenta experts present at the fair we are able to offer an optimal customer service.“

EUROstor will present its products, storage servers, clusters and RAID systems in exhibition hall 2, stand B49-02.
