                    Infortrend EonNAS

Based on EonStor RAID Systems, also used in EUROstor RAID systems for many years now, Infortrend has brought a unified storage solution to the market, offering not only iSCSI and FC RAID in the same system, but at the same time full NAS file server function. So with one single storage system all the different storage needs of an IT department can be fulfilled at the same time: 8 Gbit Fibre Channel for databases (with data being stored on SAS drives), iSCSI for other application servers also over long distance, and NAS file services for all the clients.
At the same time EonNAS also supports a lot of software features to increase data security, like snapshots of single volumes, synchronous and asynchronous data replication to a second server (or even more of them), and also thin provisioning.
The systems can be expanded over a fast SAS Port (4 x 3 Gbit), with JBODs of 12 disks each, up to 168 TB on 2 TB SATA disks or 50 TB on 600 GB SAS disks (15K rpm). This expansion can also happen at any later time when needed. Existing volumes can then easily be increased or new volumes can be defined.
