Product information

Thanks to its low latency at high data rates, Fibre Channel continues to play a major role in the construction of dedicated storage networks (SANs). At the heart of the FC infrastructure are switches that can connect thousands of nodes (servers, storage systems) in fabrics.
Brocade (today Broadcom) has released switches that support today's standard of 32 Gbit FC, and with high internal bandwidth also offer full performance in large storage networks.
These switches are backwards compatible with previous 8, 16 or 32 Gbit networks, and can thus also be integrated into the existing infrastructure. This means that these switches can also be used for the purpose of investment security where only systems with lower bandwidth have been in use to date, but servers and storages with 64 Gbit are to be used in the future. They therefore offer optimum investment protection.
Switches with 16 and 32 Gbit connections are also available.
